Educational leadership
Bruce R. Gilbert, MD, PhD
Professor of Urology, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell
Dr. Gilbert has authored more than 100 publications and has edited and contributed chapters to textbooks on urologic ultrasound. He has organized educational programs in microsurgery and urologic ultrasound and has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally.
He earned his PhD at New York Medical College, completed postdoctoral work in renal physiology at Cornell University Medical College, received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1983, and completed his urology residency at New York Hospital–Cornell Medical Center.
